Dr. Marwan Ghabra is an internationally renowned ophthalmologist specializing in corneal disorders and refractive surgery. He is best known as the inventor of the groundbreaking Ghabra Technique for managing keratoconus, which has revolutionized the treatment of this condition by addressing both anterior and posterior corneal irregularities.

With over 30 years of clinical and surgical experience, Dr. Ghabra has introduced innovative procedures, such as performing the first phacoemulsification cataract surgery in Damascus, Syria, in 1998, significantly advancing the ophthalmic landscape.

He serves as the Medical Director of The Harley Street Eye Centre in London and has been a senior consultant at Barts Health NHS Trust, where he has been instrumental in training young ophthalmologists. ​
